Got a bit distracted after dinner, but #worldcon #replay rolls on with "Oh No, It's a TV Trope!", featuring @scalzi.com, @caitlinrozakis.bsky.social, TV writer and producer Ronald Moore, and two other names I surely will learn about as soon as they introduce themselves.

The economics panel got into the weeds on definitions for quite a while, which I guess is a thing that happens when you're trying to turn a hundred-word description into a discussion that people are interested in watching, but I'm skipping forward a bit. #worldcon #replay.

Had a nice 21-mile ride (still a bit slow!) and there's just enough time for another #worldcon #replay before supper: "Future Economies: What If Everyone Had a Roof and Two Meals?". I don't recognize any of the panelists, and I have a sneaking suspicion I may have watched this panel before.

Spandrels! #worldcon #replay

No, Mr. Moderator, you have completely misunderstood punctuated equilibrium! #worldcon #replay

At this point (Cat Woman was just talking about Smilodon teeth) I have to interject the paleozoologist's maxim: "Vertebrate evolution is the story of teeth mating to produce slightly altered descendant teeth." #worldcon #replay

OK, I've done my errands for the day, and I have a couple of hours before I go out for a ride, so I have time for some more #worldcon #replay action, starting with "Evolution is an Arms Race: Bizarre Plants and Animals", which featured the convention's toastmaster, @tkingfisher.com. Should be fun!

That’s why I didn’t post much while at #Worldcon in Anaheim a couple of weeks ago — much too busy interacting with my IRL friends (some of whom I’d never met) to want to stare at my phone.

OK, next up on #worldcon #replay for tonight, it's "Dragons, Dragons, Everywhere!" with four panelists I don't recognize at all -- after a short break.

Ciel Pierlot has a great line near the end of this panel: "That's how I feel about a lot of tradwife stuff. I'm like you're just into... you're just a really subby person, you need to accept that and stop being weird about it." #worldcon #replay

@fozmeadows.bsky.social does a good job in the intro setting expectations for the Q&A later in the panel, something very few moderators seemed to bother doing. #worldcon #replay

OK, resuming the #worldcon #replay with "Diverse Relationships in Romantasy". Among the panelists were Foz Meadows (playing the role of moderator) and CB Lee, plus three others whose names I don't recognize. I seem to be doing all the queer panels this con (including some that were in-person-only).

#TheFullLid - 11th September - Happy weekend! We're back from #worldcon and here to tell you about our adventures. Friend of the Lid @adrijjy.bsky.social has their debut zine out! Takehiro Kishimoto carves fruit! Gramatik plays us out! And introducing Tortilla!

And it turns out I am bailing immediately, because there was no audio. Moving on, "Queer Normative and Gender Expansive Worldbuilding in SF/F". I recognize one of the panelists; hope they're audible. #worldcon #replay

Next up, "Luddism and Science Fiction", with four people I don't recognize and Teresa Nielsen Hayden. Unless I bail quickly, this will be the last #worldcon #replay for tonight.

Dr. Weller gushing about virtual power plants was pretty cool too. #worldcon #replay

One panelist: "I think we can all agree that we'd like to keep our gravitational-confinement fusion reactor about 1 AU away from us". #worldcon #replay

Hey, it's a quiet September evening, supper is done, I guess it's time for another #worldcon #lacon #replay thread! Starting tonight with "Alternative Energy: Tools to Switch on Better Power", featuring Arkady Martine, Geoffrey Landis, and three people I don't recognize.
