@mdicey.bsky.socialMamdani had better keep an eye on him or he'll be super-gluing golden gimcrack to the walls
one of the Gracie Mansion cops took me inside and showed me around one night when the Lindsays were out of town (I lived across the street at the time)

@mdicey.bsky.socialArthur Kudner was a chauvinist pig who undervalued me, even though, according to my co-workers, I was the only person he'd ever hired without a personal interview
my New York references were that good
fortunately, I didn't have much contact with him

@mdicey.bsky.socialmaybe there's something wrong with me…
I tried to read the Hobbit 3 or 4 times and just couldn't get into it; equal lack of interest in the Lord of the Rings movies (much less the books)
I'm more of a Lewis Carroll kind of fantasist 🤷🏽♀️

@mdicey.bsky.socialup until yesterday, it never occurred to me to wonder how many FBI applicants were trafficked into bestiality as children
while I don't believe I was particularly naive, the last decade has been truly eye-opening

@mdicey.bsky.socialI hate when something unexpected happens on my computer that I would like to see happen again, but I don't know what keyboard/mouse blunder triggered it 🫤

@mdicey.bsky.socialsince my cataract surgeries, I have to wear "cheaters" for the small print
my eye doctor explained to me that the "good" lenses that would allow me to see both near and far weren't covered by Medicare…because they consider it *cosmetic surgery*

@mdicey.bsky.sociala bad vibe all around
over the course of my career, I worked in a lot of less than desirable locations, but none ever creeped me out so thoroughly as the World Trade Center
maybe it was a premonition
