It's so upsetting to see that there was actual progress happening YET it was only for so long. I really wish we actually had the same opportunity to achieve our dreams..

youtu.be/BHnJp0oyOxs?...

"It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it" is crazy 😭

The sentiment is understandable, but it's pretty sad it's come to this point.

The “American Dream” where gas prices are at an all time high and our tax dollars go to Israel who DO have universal healthcare coverage, and land is being bought to make Data Centers

I really wish the American Dream was as great as it COULD be... This nation is capable of so much but is going the wrong way.
#StudentsTalkPolitics

Seeing immigrants become U.S. citizens reminded me how much hope the American Dream gives people. I think hard work matters, but so does having a fair chance. Does everyone really have the same opportunity to reach their dreams? #StudentsTalkPolitics

Now that’s cruel… targeting Ukraine’s power grid ahead of the cold winter months… weaponing the weather. Can we just let peace prevail? @studentstalkpols.bsky.social #StudentsTalkPolitics

If journalism is meant to hold power accountable, what happens when journalists become afraid to speak? A society may still have freedom of speech on paper, but can we truly call it freedom if people fear the consequences of using it?

Pretty interesting story from Evan, I would actually like to read his book. I didn't know he was arrested in Russia for exposing secrets about the Ukraine Russia war...

ANYONE??? I'm not so sure about the American Dream being so positive as they say.. a lot has changed it's so upsetting.

Oh, you guys . . . I was at a naturalization ceremony in McAllen at the convention center a couple of years ago. It was inspiring even though I couldn't stay for the whole ceremony.

I loved hearing his story.. It really shows a great example of how he went through this experience and was able to pull through...

War this , war that.. it’s as if it’s against human nature to be peaceful. Anyways, Russia clearly does not care about freedom of press. Haha #STUDENTSTALKPOLITICS @studentstalkpols.bsky.social

I've never ever heard of this swap before. I can't believe a human soul had to go through this, and even though he's saying he got lucky with the treatment he received, it must've been incredibly stressful. Im glad he received the help he needed after everything that happened. #StudentsTalkPolitics

This man is very brave for he went through in Russian prison. PTSD therapy is something like woah I would say. I hope he is able to visit Russia without him having to go through that again @studentstalkpols.bsky.social #StudentsTalkPolitics

I can't even manage his readjustment going back into life... Imagine being detained for so long and then just having to go back to just normal life... I'm so glad he went to therapy and learned to deal with everything afterwards...
#StudentsTalkPolitics

Hearing him explain how hard it was to adjust after being released made me realize that coming home doesn’t erase what happened. It’s upsetting that people can lose months of their lives because governments use them to negotiate. #StudentsTalkPolitics

War has always turned human lives into numbers, but numbers can never tell the whole story. 4,000 deaths is already tragic, yet history reminds us that every war leaves scars far beyond the battlefield. What is victory worth if people are the price? #StudentsTalkPolitics

I was impressed how Evan Gershkovich's resilience and determination to rebuild his life after such a difficult experience
