All in all I've had a good September despite my sky-high stress, being on break from the WIP allowed for thinking up improvements for the next draft
I got my beta read reports as well, and I'm now back to crafting an even better narrative
@tmshannonauthor.comAnd yes, I redid my first chapter again and saved it on the hard drive before manual transfer to the USB drive
Still too long, it's 13 pages A4 double spaced 12pt TNR, but it has added sensory details plus more action/dialogue tags
I'll let an editor help me out

The new title matches the core journey - dealing with the past and getting a second chance to do things right
Not as punchy, but not as clickbait either, and no confusing readers
