@kehenulo.bsky.socialFlawed but overall a decent watch by James Gray as two brothers get themselves entangled with the Russian mafia. Appreciate the focus on the family which makes it uniquely tense. But some moments are rushed and undeveloped, taking away its potential. Driver outstanding though. #LFF #PaperTiger
@kehenulo.bsky.socialMartin McDonagh in fine form. Dark and funny, this was such an enjoyable treat. Very much in the vein of my favourite McDonagh film (In Bruges) with Malkovich having a blast. Rockwell shines but shout out to Steve Buscemi who has the line reading of the year 😂. #WildHorseNine #LFF
@middaymatinees.bsky.socialWe’ll have multiple pieces each week for the rest of October thanks to #lff #londonfilmfestival & #horroctober (h/t @princecharlescinema.com), with one film that qualifies for both.
£1.00 a month for most of this stuff, with a free tier for a taste of it. #filmsky

#JasmineJobson goes the distance as the #British-Somalian boxer battling pain from her past and her family’s disapproval
@whatgoodrnotebooks.bsky.socialIt begins! (for me, two days late) #lff
@bina007.bsky.socialThe problem with Alex Gibney’s new Elon Musk doc is that if you are interested enough in this topic to commit four hours to it, you will already know everything in this doc.
Review:
@theprofrog.bsky.socialI just watched Alex Gibney’s 4-hour Musk doc at the #LFF and the man next to me ate 5 bags of crisps, including 2 sorties for more crisps. Seemed an integral part of the immersive Musk universe
@magentabias.bsky.social#LFF Elsinore - Andrew Scott really takes this to the next level with another extraordinary, heartbreaking performance
@mattbrothers.bsky.socialEnjoyed #PaperTiger today at #LFF but I swear there was a scene where Miles Teller calls Adam Driver "Adam" (his character's name is Gary). Did I just misremember this or did they leave in a dud take? Wild either way.
