A monochrome shot of a collection of tiny, striped limpets gathered on rough, wave-hewn, dark gray basaltic rock, along with a few scattered barnacles. Not sure what kind of limpets they are, as I still need to run this through iNaturalist. They may not all be the same kind, either, but they look like it. The limpets are like irregular pyramids with their tips all on one side or the other with ridges going from the base to the top, and stripes doing the same thing, going from the base of the shell to the top of each shell.

A lot of driftwood is scattered along Moonstone Beach in Cambria, California. There is one long branch in the foreground that is upright at a diagonal angle, and another long branch lying on the dark brown sandy beach. More driftwood is in the distance, some of it is formed into sculptures. Just beyond are cliffs with Monterey Cypress trees and other vegetation. In the far distance are waves rolling in and more hills and cliffs. The sky is perfectly bright blue, and the morning sun is casting sunlight on the driftwood, contrasting it against the dark sand, while also creating long shadows.
