It did. She's really good too. She should be an editor. She knows how to catch little things I missed having read the piece a million times. A simple repetition. A forgotten detail that'll make something better. #kidlitchat

That's an unfun collab. Sorry you're dealing with that. #kidlitchat
This is scary, but your words were perfect #kidlitchat
they look fun and yummy. #kidlitchat
Random question: what actors/actresses do you hear everyone in chat's voices as when you read them? #kidlitchat
I've felt quite lonely in some of my more recent collaborations. It's really effecting me mentally. #kidlitchat
that worked out great. #kidlitchat
I think that I'd like my creative partners to have a similar vision as me, though typing this I'm wondering if we need to have the same entry points to our shared interests? #kidlitchat
This is exactly the point of offering a critique or feedback: to point out the issue without trying to solve it for the writer. What they'll come up with is much better than anything I can suggest, so my job is to let them know when something isn't working and even more important, why. #kidlitchat
I agree with the premise, but I actually love it when folks point out my typos and grammar mistakes. I live in mortal fear of publishing with typos, and I really want to fix them all. #kidlitchat
I had to reorient the way that I gave feedback when I had kids. I grew up with the negative. "What, are you an idiot?" My kids didn't respond to that so I had to change. But I still sort of respond to "what, are you an idiot" when it comes to a crit partner. #kidlitchat

Honestly this has been on my mind so much lately. Having ADHD, I find it hard to stay on task. So having someone check in on me, keep my spirits up, listen to my ideas. I love having conversations to amp me up about a project so I have the energy to actually finish it. #kidlitchat
I have more and more foods on my forbidden list every day. Often that's because the manufacturer has changed the recipe to include palm oil or an artificial sweetener that makes me ill. I have to make almost everything from scratch... which is why I have so many yummy recipes for treats! #KidLitChat
OOH You're lucky. I always wanted to find someone to just write the stories so I could just illustrate them. Haven't found them yet. #kidlitchat
I try to provide feedback about what I really like in the writing — dialogue, character, setting, or story. Things I would like to read more of in their story. #kidlitchat
That's a physics lesson, right there. #kidlitchat
The key is to put the Pop Rocks on *just* before serving, or the moisture in the frosting makes them pop prematurely. #KidLitChat
