I'm leaving for Wyoming today, and will be up there all weekend for the pop culture con in Casper. It's my third year going to the event, and it has always been really good.

I also have family there, and I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Confession time! Although I do love spooky season, I don't like horror, so that severely limits my spooky media consumption. I can handle spooky but not scary!

So I'll go with "Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf."

Or "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island."

I don't like horror and spooky to me is more anxiety producing than fun, but...

I love everything about the quasi-vampire mini-series MIDNIGHT MASS. The setting. The characters. That it explores belief and fanaticism, isolation, grief and forgiveness.

Show rec: "Penny Dreadful" is one of those shows with classic lit characters, plus it has a rather imaginative portrayal of a witch coven.
