#askDV how often are form rejections on queries because they are improperly formatted, unclear, wrong genre, etc., and how often is it really just an issue of fit or timing?

#AskDV with agencies stating that they will run manuscripts through AI detection software (which is AI) as well how do writers prepare themselves(I feel like it’s counterproductive)

If someone has a complicated name/hard to pronounce/looks unsellable, do you immediately toss their query? does it make the query less favorable? #AskDV

The industry as a whole is still figuring out best practices regarding AI. I understand being wary of AI detection software; one thing authors can do is research the agencies you choose to query, and avoid any that disclose AI detection practices you're not comfortable with. #askDV

I am an Australian writer of South Asian background. I am currently living in Australia and would like to have my book published first in Australia before being internationally published. Would this be possible for me? #AskDV
