I write first to find out what happens. Then I try to get people to read my stories.

#WritersCoffeeClub Sep. 23: What "little thing" really helps you write?
Having a brain that works. It normally happens, but not always.
#WritersCoffeeClub 9/23: What "little thing" really helps you write?
An odd interaction with someone. It sometimes inspires a scene.
"Hey, fellow in the next stall, got any toilet paper?"

really good tea.

Travel. New places inspire me.
#WritersCoffeeClub Sep 23: What "little thing" really helps you write?
Train trips. The small tables integrated in #DeutscheBahn seats are large enough for my e-ink tablet, and there are none of the distractions available on my desktop PC.
I get a lot of writing done on those train trips.
#WritersCoffeeClub September 23: What "little thing" really helps you write?
A brisk walk to the church at the end of my street (about 5/8 of a mile, one way). While listening to podcasts about stuff I'm not writing about. It makes a lovely break, and it's long enough that it's effective.
#WritersCoffeeClub 23. What "little thing" really helps you write?
1. The fantasy of one day being a published author.
2. The joy of seeing ideas turn into a manuscript.
3. The little voice in my head at 4am suggesting dialogue edits.
#WritersCoffeeClub 23. What "little thing" really helps you write?
My husband. Though I wouldn't classify him as small. Or a thing.
No, seriously, without him, I'd get nothing done. I'd still be trying to get the dishwasher to cooperate and yelling at the washing machine.
#WritersCoffeeClub 23/9: What "little thing" really helps you write?
My brain 😉
And a cushion, not for me, for the laptop, to set it at a comfortable level for typing.

#WritersCoffeeClub 22 Sept: What's the latest in the writing process you've found a mistake?
I mean, let's be honest, my entire writing project is a mistake.
There are always mistakes. Readers will find them - or find things that might have been done better.
That is life. Especially a writers […]

#WritersCoffeeClub September 22: "What's the latest in the writing process you've found a mistake?"
A mistake will always make it in front of readers. I've had editors, a proofreader, a fact checker, and and engineer all check an article, and it still had a mistake when it hit the page.
#WritersCoffeeClub Sep 22: What's the latest in the writing process you've found a mistake?
Proofreading.
That's where I am now with 'Management Apologises for the Inconvenience'.
I hope I won't find any at later stages.
#WritersCoffeeClub September 22: What's the latest in the writing process you've found a mistake?
Wrong coffee cup. What else could I attribute to a bad writing session?

What's the latest in the writing process you've found a mistake?
I have come to the realization that you never find all of them.
