The #Devils claiming Poirier fall in line with many of the moves Mehta made this offseason. The Devils are adding a young goaltender for depth but someone who has a high upside as well.

In a surprise move, the New Jersey Devils have claimed Dallas Stars goaltender Rémi Poirier off waivers.

Poirier was the number three goalie in the Stars depth chart and expected to be the starter for the Texas Stars (AHL) for the second straight year.

Happy birthday (9/27/1983) to former Dallas Stars defenseman Aaron Rome. He played in 52 games for Dallas between 2012-2014.

When do the NHL hashtag logos return?

Speaking of which...can we have hashtags that actually work well inside of a sentence when creating a post?

#FlyTogether and #TexasHockey just don't work.

#NJDevils and #SJSharks are great.

Maybe someday.

On this day in 2020 (9/26/2020), Corey Perry’s 5th goal of the playoffs, and 2nd goal of the game, helped the Dallas Stars beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in double overtime in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
