I've mostly done visits with local classes, and since I was a teacher in both of the big districts in my city, it's been through word of mouth with teacher friends. I would never charge my friends for that. #kidlitchat

TOPIC: Let's talk school visits - getting 'em, planning 'em, doing 'em - and other presentations, too, from book fairs to anywhere else. What do you charge for? What do you do swag for? How do you tune a presentation? And what else?! #kidlitchat

For those wondering how I was able to embed links in the first two posts of this thread: I used deck.blue.

I also use @deck.blue for participating in chats like #KidLitChat. The developer has been working on this app since 2023, & continues to update it.

A little under a week left to preorder a signed copy of Grace Lin's new picture book The Little Stone Buddha! Annnndddddd, your preorder will also come with a snazzy lenticular sticker. #BookSky #KidLitChat

Absolutely this! #kidlitchat

The same passion for the subject KidLit and kidLitArt, lots of enthusiasm and excitement.

Late again, #kidlitchat! Sorry, always getting kids yo bed at that time. I like encouragement. I want criticism, but in the form of questions. I want someone who sees the project's potential and excited to see it grow.

That's great. I think I cast everyone as either Kathyn Hahn, Melissa McCarthy, James Spader or Marc Maron. #kidlitchat

Wish that were so too. #kidlitchat
