Film nine of #hooptober

My third sequel film and also one of the best horror sequels ever. Essentially the second half of a big horror epic this goes to the strange, bloody, horny places the first Hellraiser couldn't get to.

It’s #lastfourwatched time, oops all #hooptober edition.

I got my Tobe Hooper and Sam Neill entries down, plus a couple of bonus films that I added just for funnies. Spooky season is off to a really good start this year.

1) Phenomena - Jennifer Connelly loves insects and we love her!
2) Night Tide - Dennis Hopper in Easy Sailor
3) Deadly Blessing - Maren Jensen steals the show, But Sharon Stone gets the cover??
4) The Howling IV - Surely the longest wait for a werewolf

A lot to like here, but it pales in comparison to many of its contemporaries. My ★★★ review of Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gtlZ8L #Horrorsky #Filmsky #Hooptober

Lugosi + Karloff = magic. That's easy Universal horror math. My ★★★★ review of The Black Cat (1934) on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/gsVp71 #BlackCat #Horrorsky #Filmsky #Hooptober

These murder jeans are on a mission to kill! Loved seeing all the pants' murder techniques. Less in love w the heavyhandedness of the moral message. But still a lot of fun! #hooptober #hooptoberxiii #hooptober13

#Hooptober13 1 Baaaad Kid Film
Oddball youths out to terrorize equally odd adults in a secluded setting? Yes, please and thank you!

Devil Times Five (1974)

Film eight of #Hooptober and it's this year's Tobe Hooper film!

It's the man's debut feature, a hippie life snapshot and alien (?) in the basement joint. It's strange, interesting and meanders a tad but a must see for serious Hooperologists.

#Hooptober 8/31+: Night of the Living Doo (2001)

At about 16 minutes it's too short for the 100 challenge but this bonus viewing was a treat and then some. Fun lil spoof of the Scooby-Doo formula that gave me some good laughs throughout. boxd.it/9s2c

#5 Eaten Alive (no pic for this turd)
Most of the characters were brutal & gross in a way that made me actively rooted for them to be killed by the crocodile. Half a star for the swamp electronica score only! #hooptober #hooptoberxiii #hooptober13
