When your grievance movement needs fresh material, apparently dairy will do.

Wiley Miller sends the anti-vaxxers after “lactose intolerance” next. 🥛🙄📋 #NonSequitur #EditorialCartoon #Satire

Non Sequitur by Wiley Miller, 21-Sep-2026. On a sidewalk outside a building, two pedestrians and a small dog pass a petition table staffed by a woman with wild pink hair. A large sign beside her reads, “STOP THE INTOLERANCE OF LACTOSE! SIGN THE PETITION HERE.” One passerby looks over and says, “MY GUESS IS, THE ANTI-VAXXERS ARE BRANCHING OUT.” The gag turns “lactose intolerance” from a digestive condition into something that sounds like a social grievance, imagining anti-vaccine activism searching for a new cause. The scene is sparsely coloured in muted green, blue, pink and grey, with Wiley Miller’s signature and the strip’s Non Sequitur branding along the bottom.

Comforting thought: there are only a few examples of AI going rogue — at least, only a few we’ve noticed.

Mike Smith lets the machine supply the missing caveat. 🤖👀 #AI #AISafety #EditorialCartoon

Mike Smith editorial cartoon. Two men stand beside a towering computer cabinet labelled “AI,” with a laptop on a table nearby. One man tells the other, “THERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF AI GOING ROGUE.” Above them, a thought bubble from the AI replies silently, “THAT YOU KNOW OF.” The huge machine dwarfs the people and trails a bundle of cables behind it. Smith’s joke turns the reassurance against itself: the humans are counting only the rogue behaviour they have detected, while the AI appears to know their count is incomplete. The cartoon uses sparse colour — muted yellow, orange and blue — against heavy black cross-hatching and a largely white background. Mike Smith’s signature and Las Vegas Sun/Creators Syndicate credit appear along the bottom.

Michael de Adder’s “No, you hang up first” practically begs for the Howard Wolowitz follow-up: one beat later — “Hello?”

☎️😶 Trump’s Putin crush meets the oldest phone-game punchline in the book. #EditorialCartoon #Satire #Click @deadder.bsky.social

Michael de Adder editorial cartoon, 21-Sep-2026. Donald Trump lies across a pink bed like a lovestruck teenager, clutching a red telephone receiver with his eyes closed and saying, “NO, YOU HANG UP FIRST.” A small caricature of Vladimir Putin stands on the bedside table at left holding the other phone. Putin’s face is repeated across Trump’s bedspread, while an enormous taped-up portrait of Putin dominates the wall behind him like a teen idol poster; the pink “Tiger Beat” logo appears beside it. Trump’s red necktie dangles over the foot of the bed. De Adder exaggerates Trump’s admiration for Putin into adolescent celebrity worship, using the bedroom décor and coy phone exchange to make the joke unmistakable. The drawing uses dense black cross-hatching with muted pink, grey, blue and tan washes. De Adder’s signature appears at bottom right.

When the machine tells you your fear of the machine is irrational, conflict of interest has entered the therapy session. 🤖🛋️ @deadder.bsky.social Michael de Adder turns AI-industry reassurance into the punchline. #AI #AISafety #EditorialCartoon

Michael de Adder editorial cartoon, “Artificial intelligence,” 21-Sep-2026. In a psychiatrist’s office, an anxious older man lies on a couch at lower left, hands clasped over his chest and eyes wide. His therapist is a metal robot seated upright in an orange-red armchair, holding a notepad and pen as if taking notes. Wires and machinery are exposed at its neck and torso, and its limbs are visibly mechanical. A table lamp stands behind it, and the scene rests on a large circular black patterned rug. Above them, the robot says, “YOUR WORRIES ABOUT A.I. ARE ALL IN YOUR HEAD.” The joke makes AI itself the therapist dismissing a human’s fear of AI as irrational, turning a familiar therapeutic phrase into a conflict-of-interest gag. The drawing uses dense black cross-hatching with muted orange, yellow and grey washes. De Adder’s signature appears at bottom right.

"The Eh Team"

A washed-up bounty hunter, a TV private eye, a comedian/wannabe politician, and a disgraced cop head to Manila to hunt down fugitive lobbyist Tobi Solidum. What could go wrong? (Everything.)

#art #cartoon #digitalart #editorialcartoon #illustration #corruption #bribery #hawaii

My latest editorial cartoon imagines a scenario that is equal parts absurd and, somehow, perfectly fitting for Hawaiʻi: sending the "Eh Team" to retrieve Tobi Solidum from the Philippines.

The Eh Team, of course, is a play on the A-Team—that classic 1980s action show about a ragtag crew of wrongly accused special forces soldiers who solve problems with explosions and improbable plans. The cartoon features Dog the Bounty Hunter, Magnum P.I. (the Tom Selleck version), Bu Laia Hill, and—because truth is stranger than fiction—Riley Bandy, an actual investigator for the Honolulu Prosecutor's office who has been in the news recently for reasons we'll get to.

They're posed in classic action-hero formation, with the Manila skyline behind them and the giant, looming head of Tobi Solidum hovering above like a final boss in a video game. The text overlay reads: "The Eh Team: Thrilla in Manila."

Like all good jokes, it contains a kernel of truth about the state of governance in Hawaiʻi.

Friday he banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House. Saturday their reporters got turned away at the gate. He says more are coming.

That's not how a free press works. That's how Moscow works.

Editorial cartoon. The White House press briefing room sits empty and dusty, cobwebs between the chairs. In the front row, three folded name placards (CNN, MS NOW, POLITICO) sit on empty seats. The center seat holds only a glowing smartphone under a taped sign reading "RESERVED — STATE MEDIA." The phone shows a post reading "Trump bans CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from White House." Caption: "The White House Press Corps, 2027." Signed T.W. Amburgey.

Editorial cartoon: Kevin Roberts and JD Vance sit at a bookstore signing table stacked with red-and-black copies of a book titled PROJECT 2025, the jacket styled like a 1930s political manifesto with a black eagle and laurel wreath. Roberts, wearing a pin reading KEVIN ROBERTS - HERITAGE, signs a copy and says "Bloodless - if the left allows it to be." Vance, pin reading J.D. VANCE, holds up a copy open to a page headed "Foreword by J.D. Vance" and says "Circle the wagons and load the muskets." An easel behind them reads TONIGHT: MEET THE AUTHORS. Caption banner across the bottom: IT'S ALL RIGHT THERE IN THE FOREWORD.

Paul Duginski juxtaposes Reagan’s 18-Apr-1985 warning that tyrants attack the press with Donald Trump raging, “YOU’RE BANNED FROM THE WHITE HOUSE, TOO!” The irony needs no caption. 📰🚫🏛️ #PressFreedom #EditorialCartoon

{𝐚𝑱𝑺𝑫} Sorry, I screwed up the last cartoon post.

Paul Duginski editorial cartoon in two panels. Left: a caricature of Ronald Reagan sits beneath a large quotation on a pale-green background: “One of the first institutions to be attacked by tyrants, whether they’re dictators of the left or the right, is the press.” The quote is attributed to Ronald Reagan and dated 18-Apr-1985. Reagan smiles, both hands raised beside his face. Right: a furious caricature of Donald Trump in a dark suit, white shirt and long red tie charges leftward, pointing as he shouts inside a large yellow speech balloon: “YOU’RE BANNED FROM THE WHITE HOUSE, TOO!” Motion lines and dust clouds emphasize Trump’s agitation. Duginski’s signature appears at lower right.
