#5amWritersClub went to the Inglewood library. It had some skeletons on a rickety looking bench.

I squatted so I didn't break the bench, but it look like I'm sitting.

Tracking ages, pen-and-paper version:

Don't write down how old a character is. Write the year they were born.

Then put the story's year at the top of every chapter.

Ages become arithmetic, not memory. Flashbacks, sibling gaps and "ten years later" stop drifting.
