For lore accuracy I’d go with Radz-at-Han for Lyal. After he left Dalmasca, he stayed in Thavnair for a while to gain some worldly experience, earn money, learn about Eorzea, and practice his Common. So it makes sense for him to start there bc that is really where he began adventuring.

Lyal isn’t exclusively left handed but he is ambidextrous! So sometimes he does use his left hand to do various things - fight, eat, write, etc. especially if his right is occupied for whatever reason

Teleportation fee, no. He manual travels a lot of the time because he enjoys the travel part - which makes teleportation a sometimes-expense that he only uses when urgency is needed - so he doesn’t bother.

But for any bigger expenses, then yes he will.

Yes he was scouted by Nashmeira and he travelled and performed with the troupe as he learns the Kriegstanz and defeats a bunch of monsters in between, bc Kriegstanz is a martial style as much as it is a dance. But no Totentanz at all

His ears can either stick out or be tucked into his headwear depending on form and structure of said headwear, but most often they do stick out. All his clothes include a tail hole at the back that fastens with buttons or snaps. If it doesn’t come with, he’ll modify it himself.

To nobody’s surprise it is DRK. Honestly the DRK “questline” never ended for him, he still finds it hard to truly accept and care for himself sometimes and to allow himself to feel and express his darker emotions.
