No actual coaches in my stories yet, but Ill take the day to say Thank You to my Dad, Coach Art, who was a cycle and triathlete coach and was my favorite coach.
Love you, Dad!❤️❤️❤️

#QueerPrompts Coaches?
Yes. In Handled (planning stage), sex work is a regulated industry covered by insurance. The staff who are in direct contact with the clients are sometimes and quite jokingly called "sex coaches." Funny as the male lead is a former shortstop who could have been pro.
I think the closest that I have to that in Raven & Bear is the Master to Page/Squire dynamics we see in each ofthe stories. Sir Myrddin coaches all of the knights in the order of Branwen as their grandmaster.
Though it's more of a mentorship?

Cole doesn't have a life coach, but he could probably use one! A lot of things are really messed up for him right now and he's not sure what he wants to do next.

Flint Parker is ECHS's P.E. coach and thinks of his students as his friends and ignores their groans at his jokes. While he spends his summers bulking up, he really lives for coaching. Without it, he feels like a half a man. Which would still be a whole man, but whatever.
Jevin himself teaches flute in both seasons of his story! He's all about teaching love of music, especially to kids. That could count as coaching!
#QueerPrompts October 6:
Have to go with Tim Rowe for this one. He gives the best, most unconventional advice lol
And he's the best coach The Dartmouth Cobras have ever had 💕

Does a mentor qualify as a coach?
Trivia not only helps Caly understand her Enhanced ability, he walks her through creating her alter-ego of Parody. As he's unaffiliated with either H.E.L. or V.O.W., he's perfect for helping her stay "neutral."
A decent chunk of DEAD BEATS takes place during the cast’s college years, and a huge part of that is Kent’s career-ending hockey injury. Kent’s coach shows up in those chapters.
There are also the professors directing the school shows, which is very coach-like

Not in this one. But in the next one, Yaetherim's girlfriend, Naeliya, takes on an case of her own. Previously, she's only helped Yaetherim with his.
Yaetherim mentors her through it, and she realises she's got what it takes to be a detective.
Not sports coaches, but there are teachers who are essentially life coaches. Mrs. Legrand is a dedicated guidance counselor who sees Katie's personal struggles at home and at school. She fights to give Katie the confidence she needs to launch towards college successfully.

I would consider Colonel Wilhelmina Croft, USMC Ret., to qualify for this one. She is the one who is teaching Weslea combat skills - martial arts, knives, and any gun he can that won't throw him on his ass due to his relatively 🧵
Hailey ... sort of has a coach. At school she has Mrs. Campbell, one of two phys ed teachers, someone who genuinely has Hailey's back as a trans student. The other one, Mr. Sanders, is a grade-A piece of shit, sadly.
Other than that, Hailey has her therapist, Dr. Fletcher.

There is a coach in #TY4LM, but not one you'd want to be celebrating. A very minor character, only in one chapter.
He's coach of the middle school swim team. He spends his time reading the paper while his son the Team Captain harasses and bullies our MCs.
#QueerPrompts Oct 6: in my YA novel, THE WEIGHT OF THE IMPOSSIBLE, there are two figure skating coaches. The first is the protagonist Zach's coach, Angela, who he just calls Coach throughout the story. The second is a skating skills specialist named Daniel, who Zach has massive crush on.
Day 5. What subject would your characters teach?
Anastasia: English.
Vivian: Swim coach.
#QueerPrompts October 5: World Teachers' Day: What subject would your character(s) teach?
Cassidy: Music theory, guitar, piano, survivalism
Bluth: Astronomy, Electronics

Roderika and Arlo have their Swordmaster… who I really should get him to tell me his name already…
Technically Henet was also their Magic Tutor, but never really got them past the basics because neither of them was talented in the same school of magic they are.
lol she's a minor character in Ambitious Project while starring in another thing, but my character Clara was a little league coach before she turned to sports journalism!
she still organizes casual baseball games on campgrounds when she's on the road with her husband
