as my first love always was and will be the #humanities, I definitely gravitated to the field where it is an essential part of the art of #medicine. So happy being a #Geriatrician

Day 2 of our @gffantastik.bsky.social conference on " #Violence & the Fantastic" was rich & busy. After 3 rounds of panels, we took our participants to the #FilmhausKöln for a screening of /Der Golem: Wie er in die Welt kam/ (1920) before heading for our conference dinner. #Humanities #scholarship

Anyway, I just thought I'd share that I was 33 when I decided to switch my major. I don't know if I'll ever actually work in my field since I'm too poor to afford higher education in my country, but I think I'll still enjoy the ride.

Creative people shape culture. Culture shapes institutions. Institutions shape civic life. Civic life shapes humanity’s future. In healthcare, the humanities help ensure that the institutions entrusted with our bodies do not lose sight of our humanity.
