It's Denver's last 6:30p sunset of 2026, and last one until March 14. I don't make the rules.

A very general idea for best peak fall colors this weekend: lower mountain areas (7-9k), San Juans, higher foothills.
Probably past peak in most areas above 9-10k. Open to your insight as well, basing this in part off your observations (thank you)!

Looks more and more like Wednesday/Thursday will be the main window for cooler/potentially wetter weather along the Front Range. Prob no snow, but can't rule it out.
Huge improvement in drought conditions across southern Colorado thanks to last week's big rain, per today's update.
Drought conditions essentially gone for most of the Eastern Plains. Note a slight expansion in drought conditions for northern Colorado, though.
With our blowtorch start to October, it's now a near-lock that 2026 will finish as both Colorado's and Denver's hottest years on record.

🌡️ Another Augtober day: Highs in the low-to-mid 80s in Denver (record: 85, 2020), with a 10-20% chance for a brief gusty shower/storm after 3p again. Most stay dry, best chance west/south of Denver.
🌦️ Warm and dry through Sunday before a notable cooldown next week.
