Bell: Nearly 32 different local Sk contrators are involved. Statistically, that's 1 in 20 homes has someone working with this facility. That raises salaries. #yqrcc
Bell: My vision is this becomes the Canadian centre of excellence for this industry. There are the only ones building data centres at great scale. During construction, we expect 1200 jobs. We want those to persist for years. #yqrcc
Froh wants to know what the province can expect in terms of regional economic impacts long term. #yqrcc
Bell: We're aligned. We will supply whatever information the city wants. We will be forthcoming & will continue to be a good partner. #yqrcc
Bell: A sealed closed loop is sealed at construction & would not be supplied by the city. The water use would be for bathrooms & for drinking in kitchens. #yqrcc
Bell: As approved by RM, this includes high efficiency natural gas power provision. It will be generated by an experienced natural gas power provider. It will be at Bells cost. No impact on rate payers. #yqrcc
Bell: The campus will be supplied by 300MW from existing assets. Sask Power showed new budget w/ new revenue coming from sale of power w/ no discount has mitigated what would have meant customer rate increases. #yqrcc
Bell: Bell has conditional agreement to buy 195 acres next to existing campus which would allow 9 more data centre buildings built in stages starting 2027. They will be single story and behind berms topped w/ acoustical fencing. #yqrcc
BELL: When we met w/ the RM in April we made commitments about roads, drainage & community engagement. We've worked very hard to fulfill all of that. #yqrcc
BELL: Bell chose Saskatchewan for a reason. It's right in the centre of the country, right by Regina. And it has the cold weather to help cool the project. And there's the great people. #yqrcc

Are they building a data centre or are they podcast hosts? #yqrcc
Here's the submission from the the Bell AI Fabric whatsit. I won't live tweet them going over this & will save my fingers for the Q&A portion. #yqrcc
Dan Rink & Jaethan Reichel from Bell AI Fabric from Kamloops BC are the next delegation. #yqrcc
Yeah… I should've made 2. #yqrcc
Hipperson: As for impacts on construction inflation, I don't know. If you asked me, will construction cost more next year than it does now, the answer would be yes. #yqrcc
Hipperson: One thing I didn't mention, as companies grow, their employees are afforded more capital to buy houses, cars, trucks. So the tax base for Regina grows. #yqrcc
Froh: Construction costs for us as a municipal corporation, and construction inflation, and there's building capacity in the sector. This project is drawing a lot of labour. How should we understand that? #yqrcc
Hipperson: This gives us chance to hire & train people. City of Regina needs b/c you have an extensive capital budget you want to act on. #yqrcc
