Picking a song that captures Hailey and CSD's dynamic is tricky. They're not enemies, like, at all. CSD ends up thinking Hailey's pretty rad actually. But they're stuck in a situation that forces them against each other.

#SongsOfSeptember Day 26
For GNA, it’s not a song for the final antagonist but rather for a major one fought before. Someone who in many ways is more irredeemable than the main villain. And yet there’s still tragedy in the song.

#SongsOfSeptember #WritingQ Not the MC but the MC's Mother & the Antag, the Mother's Doppelganger & Shadow Self. Both fighting over their daughter. The Good Mother Archetype wants her daughter to be free, the Terrible Mother archetype wants to possess (& devour) her daughter 🧵
Today's choice is from Demon King Daughter. This is the start of the 'all is lost' cascade in book 3. Specifically, it's for Himari vs. her grandfather, but the consequences hit everyone.
MERCY by Muse for Noah/Mortimer from #Tenement.
It could be seen as "Noah vs Mortimer," but I think it also fits as something they'd both sing at different points. Noah AND Mortimer vs the Tenement. One lost the battle; the other is still fighting.
#SongsOfSeptember:
Lunaris vs The Void:
Well, my #WIP doesn't really have a traditional antagonist! Mainly because he isn't a traditional MC!
My MC is mostly fighting through his circumstances, his fears, and the belief that the future has already slipped through his fingers.
So, technically... 'The End of Time'? (·•᷄_•᷅ )

It's uplifting in the sense that it makes you want to get up and dance. Which is how I used it in Anything You Want. The FMC and her sister recognize their song and go dance at a Christmas party. Turn the Night Up by Enrique Iglesias is a banger #SongsofSeptember #RH #Romancebooks #WriterSky
#SongsOfSeptember 26. A song that fits the MC & Antagonist?
I went with Ice Nine Kills "Twisting the Knife" if we look at Meghan & BD. There's a lot there to unpack. One is a little kid who is impressionable & one is a monster who wants to make her into a likeness of him.

my antagonist is vague and so will the reason i chose this song for it :D
Ghost - Square Hammer
First one for Aloe - The Emptiness Machine by Linkin Park
This can be looked at as a back and forth between François and Acanthus.
There's a fire under the altar that I keep on lying to,
I keep on lying to
Already pulling me in
Already under my skin
I know exactly how this ends
My first intended antagonist for Raven & Bear is a reference to both one of King Arthur's quests and to Welsh history. I haven't written anything for him, but I think this song fits the tension of their meeting.
Enjoy!

26) MC vs. Antagonist
This one is a repeat, I think. I'm posting it anyway because I love this song and it fits this prompt perfectly.
The Falcons would absolutely sing this at the Verans in an act of defiance.
"Empire of Steel" - Essenger/Scandroid
#SongsOfSeptember 26
The Snake - OK Goodnight contributed a lot to the mood of Tiferet’s confrontation with Xaphasa!
Death becomes me
He's inviting
No escaping
Your love will never quench the endless thirst of your rage

The Marinell Anthem. Not a duet, a trio in Serj’s layered harmonies. Mood/lyrics encompass the agony of their dynamic.
Antag Lord Deran begins. Drisal joins in the 2nd chorus. Anyone familiar with BK stuff’ll know exACTLY when Rush joins. 😭
All three sing 1/
#SongsOfSeptember 26. I'm going with Ulorzz as the antagonist today, and oh, this song plays in my mind when I think about the confrontation between Ashrah and the Bearer late in Book 1 🔥
While this track is one of the openers to the movie, here I'm using it for the faceoff in the final confrontation in Lights. The song really pulls out the full orchestra & choir - perfect for a scene requiring contemplation before springing into action.
