22. My Autumn TBR

I plan to finish my re-read of Watership Down (finally) and study Dante's Inferno as research for my next series. If I ever read it, it was for a class long ago that I don't remember. I'm looking forward to it! Also, the 2nd book in Vernant's Dax trilogy.

#FantasyIndiesSeptember 22 - Autumn TBR

So many. In addition to an ARC I'm reading, I'm also trying to finish Throne of Glass series for my wife, a bunch of RJ Martin's books, and I really want to read The Enchanted Greenhouse finally. Also listening to The Keeper of Magical Things

#FantasyIndiesSeptember Day 22

My near-future/autumn TBR is:

Finish ATOMIC HABITS
Finish HOMECOMING (Kate Morton)
Read JESUS AND JOHN WAYNE
And I'm on the list for YESTERYEAR from the library, so whenever it's my turn for that...

#FantasyIndiesSeptember 22: My autumn TBR

I don't really have an autumn TBR. But every autumn/winter I curl on the sofa with coffee or tea and read NIGHT WOMAN by Nancy Price. It's my comfort book.

This week I pulled it and another book aside for rereads.

Day 22

I usually read horror and darker books during this season. I finished "The Witch's Orchard" by Archer Sullivan last night. I'm waiting on some books from the library including "The House on the Borderland."

Thanks @lvrussell.bsky.social @chesneyinfalt.bsky.social

Fantasy Indies September with each day of the month listed with its theme. Today is the 22nd, and the theme is your autumn TBR.

22. Autumn TBR
It'll really depend on my mood, but I'd like to read the Wine-Dark Sea by Kris Madigan, Name Her Holy by Aubrey Ennis, Rears and Vices by EM Caro, and Doll Girl Meets Dead Guy by Lidiya Foxglove. #fantasyindiesseptember

I've got time to read or write, not really both. So, my only reading plans for the fall are keeping up with a few web novels.

Your autumn TBR

I don't have much reading planned in advance this time around.

I'm currently reading Anamnesis by Lyndsie Clark (it's great so far!)
I'm also hoping to read Don't Let It Out by NA Betts soon too.

I'll figure the rest out as I go!

22. Your autumn TBR

Setting up a specific order in my TBR makes my brain itch. 🫣 Some I'm excited about and might read soonish?

Bodies of Magic by Freya Marske
Revolution in the Heart (LeGuin inspired anthology)
All My Dead Cats and Other Losses by S.E. Smith

22) Autumn TBR

I don't do seasonal reads, so my autumn TBR is just my reading queue for the next little bit.

I've been on a Last Unicorn kick lately. Re-watched the movie with my husband—who had never seen it!—and now re-reading the book.

Then I'll read the sequels

#FantasyIndiesSeptember (think I screwed up the hashtag yesterday, oops) Day 21: Power-hungry character in WIP

My MC is a professor of anthropology who's focused on "making a name for himself" and "leaving a legacy," & his current plan involves starting a religion. Like you do.

9/21 #FantasyIndiesSeptember

“In the Web of Fate” has Cania Maro, a carnomancer who’s throwing lavish games showcasing her arcane discoveries in the hopes of building enough popular support to win a seat in the Ninety-Nine or even become one of the two shophets of Tyria.

Day 21 of #FantasyIndiesSeptember

In my Oracle of Delphi series WIP, there have been more than a few power-hungry characters, even some of the Pythiai themselves. And a few Priests of Apollo, too. And Imperators, and magistrates, and archons, and and and ... 🤣

Power-hungry character in WIP
In Mielea's Lost, it would be Malcabe. In the sequel, that duo of villains would be.
In Project Trapezoid, probably Sulien. It's more so a very strong desire to win as many games in his career as possible. #writesky #Sci-Fi #fantasy 💙📚

21: Power-hungry characters in WIP

There are quite a few, as Bloodmaster #4 is the one where I introduce the local nobles. But I can't go into too much detail without spoiling things.
