In nearby Chatsworth, the 6th Duke of Devonshire built a 296-foot fountain in 1844 to impress Tsar Nicholas I. The Tsar died in 1855 and never saw it.

While visiting Sisikyou County, we stopped at McCloud Falls in Shasta-Trinity National Forest. There were parts I could reach, but there were also accessible paths to see some of the falls.
