#DVParty Day 4 - Your Story as Memes/Gif

The playground can be exciting but for my MC it is terrifying! #PB

@vsvasan.substack.comSep 28, 2026, 5:21 PM

Couldn't find a meme for the story. So, here's a pic of a totally innocent cat (because) and a couple of memes for Kal, the MC of HERALD OF ASHES.

A retroactive answer to a #DVParty #DVPit prompt!

(Day 3) Opening line:

"Before she disappeared, Daphne promised we’d spend the first day of summer vacation on Eden Island, staining our tongues with blue raspberry Italian ice and roaming in and out of the sandy shops that lined the north beach."

Ooop, Henry didn’t leave Solena at the alter, but he might as well have. They were betrothed, but he couldn’t keep her chained to his future. So, he leaves & fakes his death (kinda dramatic if you ask me). All is well until fate forces their paths to cross again. #DvParty

“…threads binding one with another across space, time and consequences. Fate that brings two together whether or not the gods allow it.”

Together they must cross into hell for a single wish, unaware it’ll cost them both their hearts. #DVParty

Solena when she should be healing, going to therapy, and coming to terms with bad decisions. But she’s too impulsive, stubborn and determined to stop.

Does ARCTIC RIFT MC Mye Su have wonky connective tissue, a hyper-sensitive nervous system, & energy crashes for overdoing it? Yes. Is she still a bad ass who can kill apex predators, keep her friends alive on their arctic moon’s tundra, & negotiate w/ sentient fungi? Also yes. #DVParty #DIS #SF

A rainbow colored background with a white block with black text. The test reads I ran out of spoons by 8am. It’s knife o’clock.

Aleyna: “I just want one relic and my freedom.”
Realm: “Best I can do is political captivity, war, blood pacts, and complicated men.”

Maya’s Chameleon Code
1 Stay quiet 2 Stay small 3 Camouflage
Blending in fails for the new brown girl in a metal brace. Dubbed a "walking disaster” by the mean girls, she hides in the newspaper room & writes an anon paper column. Will 12yo Maya ever show her true colors, metal scales & all? #DVparty

#DVParty Day 4 - Your Story as Memes/Gif

Ten Years Time: A Summary

Just imagine this all on a retrofuturistic space station as it reimagines Anna Karenina with a 13 Going on 30 twist.

The meme of the lady being held back while yelling at the cat eating a salad. The lady yelling is "Varenka" while the lady holding her back is "Mar" while "Varenka" yells: "Stop thinking about Alexei Vronsky! It's not healthy!" Then "Kitty" is the cat saying: "I'm going to fake date his friend to make him jealous!"The top says: Kitty meeing people in the future Then there is a news anchor before an image of seagulls that says "Lesbians" in big lettersThe meme of someone handing a note to someone in front of them. It's Kosta handing a note to Kitty then Kitty reads the note and glares back at Kosta because it says: "Kosta's Sexpcapade Diary 6/9/1969 Dear Diary..."The top says "The plot at Kitty" then there is a woman making a rainbow and saying "You're gay."

When she’s sacrificed to the Korean underworld as a bride and is greeted by a horde of akgwi, evil spirits who feed off living souls…
…except the way back is shut, and the god she was sent to marry doesn’t want her.

By slow burn, I mean the slooowest burn 🫣

SEA OF TRANQUILITY x LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND

Peter & Ro, MCs of my novel EVERYWHEN, may seem different but they share a major flaw regarding how to solve their problems:

Both overlook good old-fashioned community-building 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾 in favor of ✨shiny, pretty, magical visions✨

#DVparty #L #LGBT #A #MR

Distracted boyfriend meme labeled for EVERYWHEN novel. The distracted boyfriend is labeled Peter & Ro (the main characters). The indignant girlfriend is labeled "practical solutions via community-building." The woman walking by is labeled "Magical visions fix everything!"
