...and sure enough, helps that it's Richard Epcar in ham mode, the guy who gave the world VPets is the evil goat Digimon thing we saw earlier. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

Also...I believe this movie IS canon because Kai does appear later sometime during the D-Reaper arc.

Turns out the Vpets that got mass produced? Yeah, they came with a virus and the dad worked on a vaccine that might be housed in the new Digimon due to being linked to the original VPet... #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"You should have given up the vaccine!" Yeah, turns out the guy credited for giving the world Vpets? Yeah, he's in on it...and sounds veery familiar... #Digimon #DigimonTamers

I LIKE this movie it's just that all the other Digimon movies (save Frontier) I like MORE for a variety of reasons so this one always got the least rewatch out of me.

Takato and his cousin find a secret lair that's gotten a couple of the weird Digimon...and is housing her dad...and the creators of the VPet. The reason? Yeah, turns out the dad made a vaccine that's tied to the VPet...and the weird Digimon want it. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"I need the help of the Digidestined!" ...uh...what? It gets more confusing as in the next scene, Takato says he's a Digimon Tamer, so...wha? #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"Takato's in trouble!" ...wait, how'd you get there? #Digimon #DigimonTamers

Calumon, despite the distances, senses Renamon and Terriermon needing help, thus Digivolving them to the next level and winning their fights against the odd ball Digimon! #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"He's the mythical guardian of this island!"
I'm now having Pokemon Sun and Moon flashbacks!

And we get MASS WHOLESALE SLAUGHTER as the boat Henry is waiting for gets OBLITERATED MID SAILING! #Digimon #DigimonTamers

Before we could get things sorted out, another Digimon popped up and YOINKED the girl away!

Meanwhile, the Vpets are going nuts, causing Rika's mom's plane to go off course and a flood to the city. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

During the chaos, the girl's laptop opens and frees a Digimon that takes out the Divermon and saves her! This causes the Digimon to...sniff her legs...oh, and it turns out the Digimon is the GUARDIAN OF THE ISLAND! Nice to know Digimon existed BEFORE Data. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

Turns out that one Digimon is a distraction as another one crash lands in the roof and it's time for karate gr---

*WHACK*

It's time for grandpa to take his nappies. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

Back and the cousin's house, all is peaceful and quiet...so it's time for another Digimon to start attacking! #Digimon #DigimonTamers

So, the Vpet in her computer was made for the new girl to resemble her late puppy, who followed her...during body boarding, so the waves...yeah... #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"My dad told me to take it far away!" This causes her to remind her "Oh yeah, but dad's in trouble!"

Hours later.

As it's now night.

And she was found in the middle of the day. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

...why is Renamon laughing? Also, I'm scaroused... #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"Emotions are meant to be experienced..." Gramps figures music can help calm her down...only it succeeds in making her start to cry.

Back in mainland Japan, computers are CRASHING everywhere...as in the stuff with the Vpets...and the phones just died. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

"She's been through a lot today!" Given that flashback, TODAY!? #Digimon #DigimonTamers
