Students in university are knitting and collecting bread tags and making up imaginary worlds on paper with groups of friends and dressing up stuffies and wanting poems to sing in archaic languages. They are sick of your empty fascistic machines. Let them be fully human. #canlit
"I like a weird book. The weirder the better. I’m out here begging #CanLit to be weirder." – Dina Del Bucchia, author of Tougher Than The Rest @arsenalpulp.bsky.social

Stunning. Delicate. Everything I’d hoped it would be. GAH I wish I could write like this. #canlit

Just so "you" know, when my book comes out I DO NOT want gushy blurbs masquerading as reviews. Obviously I don't seek silence but reviews that aren't intelligent, balanced, astute and willing to take risks are basically a waste of space. And patronizing. And robots? Stay away. Grrrrr. #canlit.
Reviews and star ratings mean so much to a writer. A big thank you to Katherin on Goodreads for this wonderful review of The Atlas Keeper!

Quirk of scheduling/work means that my wife (who coordinates these events) will be emcee’ing tonight while our 11 year old hangs out at the back, stuffing his pockets with cookies. #canlit
Over the past year of writing reviews for Canadian periodicals I have learned: one cannot make but a teensy living off it; one is only allowed to write once a year for many; if one cannot say all nice things one should not say anything; they will "endeavour" to pay at some point. Come on #canlit.
If you missed the Junction Reads launch with Dina Del Bucchia last evening, the video is up.
I love this gig!

Episode is up - the odd byline rules of the Globe & Mail, potential birding-inspired mystery plots, and why @lizrenzetti.bsky.social and her co-author Kate Hilton need a continuity editor. #canlit
