We had so much fun hosting an @aaslh.org/ @ncph.bsky.social conference tour this morning, we forgot to take any pics! So this courtyard image will have to serve as our #WalksOnWednesday invite to all #WorkOfRevolution conference attendees to show your badge for FREE admission through Sunday 9/21!
The historians are coming! The historians are coming! #WorkOfRevolution @aaslh.org @ncph.bsky.social
Dang downtown Providence is so beautiful. When I was growing up in Connecticut in the 1970s it was a mobbed up shit hole of a town (or so thought everyone in Connecticut!). What a turnaround.
Popping back up to Providence for #WorkOfRevolution after an afternoon in New Haven. Shout out to my former colleague Richard Cellini, Prof. David Blight, Yale's Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition, and all the amazing attendees.
Check out the silent auction at the conference today and tomorrow. Proceeds go to AASLH professional development programs. See it on the 5th floor.

What happens when you book your conference travel at the last minute and every hotel room in downtown Providence is full? You stay on a boat! #WorkofRevolution indeed.
Yes! It's #WorkOfRevolution

Bummed to miss most folks who are coming to DC for #FF2026 #AI4LAM. I leave tomorrow for #WorkOfRevolution in Providence with amazing folks @ncph.bsky.social @aaslh.org
Oh my God, I can't wait to get to Providence for #WorkOfRevolution (AASLH-NCPH 2026) with the @ncph.bsky.social and @aaslh.org squads!!!! All the histories, all the dorkdom, all the food, all the cute outfits! Look out, Rhode Island!😁
I'll be drawing on my work with two International Coalition of Sites of Conscience member sites and all the people, histories, and materials at the center of the work. #WorkOfRevolution ☺️ 🏡
I'm reflecting on the power of place, home, and memory, and on how a robust understanding of the past enables us to see the present more clearly...and envision better futures. #WorkOfRevolution
Providence is one of my favorite cities and this is an exhilarating way to celebrate the country's semiquincentennial. I'm looking forward to gallivanting and learning more about my ancestral connections to The Ocean State. #WorkOfRevolution
I'm part of the Program Committee and will also be repping the National Public Housing Museum (alongside my colleague Liú m.z.h. Chen and other folks from fabulous institutions and orgs around the country) during the Public Historians and the Housing Crisis working group. #WorkOfRevolution
