NEW: Documents just released show Metro is proposing a fare of $7.50 for the longest Metrorail rides, up from the current $6.75. The lowest fare would rise from $2.25 to $2.50. The overall increase would be 11% - Metro’s board will have to vote on this before it’s enacted. #wmata

New Metro signs being rolled out at L’Enfant Plaza have many riders talking. I received a tour from Metro today explaining them. I’ll have lots more, but for now I can report they’ve decided to keep the stripes on pylons outside stations instead of using circles w/letters. #wmata
