Flandre's while deal here is very interesting, building on the popular fandom of her being too powerful and dangerous that needed to be locked up. The initial front of Remi calling her a monster but then it into being genuinely caring for her sister is pretty good
Real good bit that despite the near possible threat of wiping out the human village, that was completely unintentional and Remilia just wanted more shade to go outside. And the crew have a valid reaction for an incident the would've been solved with a parasol.
SHE SAID THE TITLE OF THE GAME!
Always been intresting to see a fan work address Marisa's backstory and falling out with her father. It's something not brought up too often in canon works afterwards.
Also didn't mention it earlier but I don't think the original Scarlet Mist incident in EoSD, had the implication that it would effect the outside world or that it could be lethal to humans.
I going to assume this was meant to escalate the conflict to the stakes to carry a full rpg plot.
"Hey do you have a relationship with her"
" no i don't really "
"Okay can I talk to her"
"Wait we do have a relationship "
I do like how Sanae asks her why isn't she focusing on gathering faith for her shrines God and disrespecting them.
Gonna be real I don't think Reimu who/what the Hakerei god is, or that it even exist. Im 50% sure she genuinely thinks it's Genjii the turtle.
Okay I see we are immediately hitting off the idealogy conflict between Hakerei and Moriya shrine, interesting.
In a sense Moriya is the more traditional and "correct" way. But obviously the Hakerei Shrine maiden has different priorities and function specific to Gensokoyo.
As a fan of Elly's boss fight in LLS, them referencing her Zelda dungeon floor title attack made my day.
Keine might be the most intresting interpretation in FMW for me so far, bc in some way some of her most popular portrayls are her being the history record keeper which got filled by Akyu, and being a mentor which for reimu (here) was taken by Kasen later on.
When Marisa came in with her gang of misfits I jokingly said "wow she brought her harem over" and then I get hit by this lol.
Sakuya, Mei Ling, Clownpiece, Hecatia)
This sorta peace did get decanonized due to later material like Forbidden Scrollery. But there seems to balance in Gensokoyo but bit more nuanced then alot of works like FMW presents so far.
FMW two most interesting qualities of its writing other then it's written well is that its allowed to properly set up future incidents and give the world a bit more cohesion, thanks hindsight 20/20. And how its sorta of time capsule of the then current game's continuity at the time
This is novel experience for me as the only major srpgs I've played was mostly fire emblem, advanced wars and 70% of front mission 3.
No experience with Super Robot Wars, but i do like how even level 1 you have tons of abilities and more actions per turn.
