Few and far between
The eyes lament what's rarely seen
Barely glimpsed now just in dream
It seems our friends have left the scene

A sparkle here, a flicker there
You won't find them anywhere
Weighted down by poisonous nights
Too bright, they can't outshine our lights
They fall as husks to sodden ground
In their demise you'll hear no cries;
No #ears will hear those fireflies
'Cause they don't make a sound.

For the sake of sanity
his mind was sent on #holiday
where sunny skies sparkle
as he surfs electric waves.
Excluded from humanity
with hopes to #retain sanity
he now stares out glazed windows
just a shell, once so depraved.

*from #wip, Beyond Beyond the Onions, a collection of #poetry. 🙂

He saw the piano falling
and being a stoic fella,
he fixed his tie,
exhaled a sigh,
and opened his umbrella.

#Saturday morning coffee
Oh how I love the brew
while reading all the waxing words
composed by all of you. 😀👍
