It would have to be Jesper Kyd for his work on the first AC soundtrack, specifically City of Jerusalem.
Thanks for the prompt!

For a Power Rangers-inspired book, there's only one answer: Mr. Ron Wasserman.
BBMak, all the way. They were so incredibly underrated, & they had just absolutely INCREDIBLE harmonies. My dream is to have them record the theme song and have a resurgence in popularity!
You remember them, I swear!!
Light Wielding: Deftones
Death & the Dreamer: Silversun Pickups
Losing You Backward: Slowdive
Miraculous Horrors: Evanescence
I want Hildegard von Blingen to do Jynn’s songs.

For Dust and Shadows
I was thinking Rebecca Sugar, or LydiaTheBard(since Tinkerbell villain song inspired my Peter Pan WIP ☺️)

#LitHodgepodge 9. Who is your dream collaborator?
Can I dream up a dual-collab? Because with the vibe of this group, a Motionless In White + Ice Nine Kills collab would fit perfectly and they can write and perform all the music for the entire thing; I won't even give notes.
All my stories have playlists. Let's do this!
Clipped: Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross. & TOOL/APC.
Coven Thing: Coven Thing was inspired by Paris Paloma's Labor, so her, of course. Maybe throw in some Florence, Stevie Nicks.
Elf Thing: Well, the bard's voice is Serj Tankian sooo...
Score would have to be Howard Shore - I still maintain that the Dwarven theme in Moria (Fellowship) is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever heard- I could talk about just that theme for hours!

Eh, I'd kind of like to see what Aurelio Voltaire could do with it. Voltaire has a fairly wide range musically and I think he'd have fun with the story.
THE GOLDEN STAIR as a musical:
🔹Raissa (Rapunzel) sung by Emmy Rossum in an alto key.
🔹Her future prince Ash is a bard w/ solos written by Ezra Koenig or DJO.
🔹Gothel + her daughter Gisela would get villain songs sung by Megan Hilty + Renée Rapp.
#LitHodgePodge 9 for my current untitled novel I'm going with the artist behind the first song I ever added to the playlist: Rosalía. (The track itself is open.spotify.com/track/1dp0MR...)
#LitHodgePodge #TheColorsThatHaunt
For The Colors That Haunt Us, I’d pick The Amazing Devil.
They already have two songs on the playlist, "Not Yet / Love Run (Reprise)" and "The Rockrose and the Thistle", and their whole sound fits the book almost perfectly: intimate, theatrical, romantic, eerie,...
Måneskin or Hozier. I have so many songs from both of them on my playlist. I think I would have died about three times over at that point though. Between getting published, getting an adaptation, and then getting to work with either of them? I'd be so very dead. 😂
Happy #LitHodgePodge 9!
This song by Pawns or Kings is heavily baked into the planning & writing of the first Bludeye Beach book. I'd be beside myself if they did a Bludeye Beach theme~
Trent Reznor is the obvious choice. He has the vibe and the 90s credentials and the experience, but I'd be open to other late 90s musicians who have experience with or want to try their hand at doing a score. Preferably alt rock. #LitHodgepodge #writing
And for 'The immortality heist', I want Ennio Morricone, may he rest in peace.
Because it's a mediaeval, witchy, weird comedic heist story, and Western music would not fit at all, which is the point.
