#LiteratureNotice Cha et al. Habitat types, seasonal activity patterns, and preliminary extinction risk assessment of Korean tiger beetles based on open-source data doi.org/10.1007/s108... #Beetle #Beetles #Cicindela #tigerbeetle

Non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) ordination plot based on a dissimilarity matrix of Korean tiger beetle assemblages classified by habitat type. Points represent habitat-specific assemblages, and distances among points reflect differences in species composition. The two-dimensional stress value indicates the goodness of fit of the ordination

#LiteratureNotice Garner et al. Beetles, barcodes and big data: A deep dive into the phylogeny of Harpalinae (#Carabidae) doi.org/10.1111/syen... #Beetle #Beetles #groundbeetle

Analytical workflow for constructing a global Carabidae phylogeny. (1) A mitogenome-based phylogeny was inferred from newly generated and public data (mitogenomes and nuclear markers), incorporating a nuclear backbone constraint to produce a tribe-level tree of 451 tips. (2) Species delimitation was performed using 75,475 filtered COI barcodes (BOLD + GenBank) with mPTP and concatenated with genomic markers to build a supermatrix. (3) A species-level phylogeny was reconstructed under a mitogenome backbone constraint, yielding a final tree of 7196 tips.
