I think it’s because we only know and remember our feelings and emotions. What matters to us is the most important, memories are pieces of feelings and emotions, the losing part is the section that don’t matter to us a lot. We didn’t built a relationship with it. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
I think she keeps forgetting parts of the story even as she's telling it because that is her brain's way of protecting her. Maybe whatever she's forgetting it just that traumatizing, that remembering it it worse than forgetting it. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
I believe that the brain has a natural coping mechanism that blocks out less desirable parts of stories or memories. It isnt that she is forgetting on purpose or because she doesn't care but to shield herself from feeling it. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
#hwa3 #forgettingandtelling I think that is becuase it shows the display in emotion of the event, while also recreating the story could allow for more idea flow and more detail
I got the sense she was forgetting the story as she told it. You could hear her getting more anxious and confused the deeper she got, almost like she was second guessing which details were real and which ones she'd added over time. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
#hwa3 #forgettingandtelling I think that she was forgetting the story as she was telling it because you could hear that the deeper she got into the story, the more scared and confused she sounded, almost as if she was trying to remember what was real and what she might have made up along the way
Anderson says she kept forgetting part of the story even as she kept telling it, because of the horrible things she remembered that kept distracting her continuation in the storytelling. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
I think Anderson kept forgetting parts of the story because her memory tried to block out the worst memories. Repeating a story can almost make one version feel more “real” while other parts fade out. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
She wants to emphasize that she has forgot to tell parts of stories in the past. This is a performance to deliver her experience regardless of her currently "knowing" the memory #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
I think this is because as she kept telling the story she kept slowly remembering that horrible part and that kept taking he attention away from waht truly happened and only remembering that part. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
I think she has spent so long repressing the incident that her memory has blocked out part of the story and she has been using her imagination to fill in the pieces. She only talks about what she experienced and forgets everything else happening around her. #hwa3 #forgettingandtelling
I think that the idea of those stories come as traumatizing. Like a part of her has been trying to block out that noise every time. Even when she is trying to tell the story, she is only talking about her physical state, and forgetting the bad things going on around her.
