"Yes, let me show you..."
@wmweibel.bsky.socialNo, Zira! Never trust Victor Newman! #TCMParty #EscapeFromThePlanetOfTheApes
@millerfilm.bsky.socialDirected by Don Taylor, former actor and later popular genre director who also directed "Damien: Omen II" and "The Final Countdown."
@ianmcdowell.bsky.socialOur closest relatives, real chimps are the most violent great apes & most likely to eat meat. They have been documented hunting adult Colobus monkeys and baby gorillas, and have occasionally killed and devoured children.
@millerfilm.bsky.socialYeah, the Tim Burton one was bad, to be sure. I don't know, the new series just wasn't enjoyable or entertaining to me. I think they lacked the sense of humor or the willingness to be campy like the originals. That is probably why I didn't like them.
@millerfilm.bsky.socialSal Mineo as Dr. Milo pretty much ended up being like one of the "Special Guest Stars" on "Police Squad!" who show up for one moment and are quickly bumped off.
@millerfilm.bsky.socialI can still watch each and every installment of the original "Planet of the Apes" series over and over. But I did not like, at all, the recent series of "Apes" films trying to restart the franchise. They did nothing for me.
@millerfilm.bsky.socialFilm Composer Jerry Goldsmith has gotten out the drum kit for the groovy music in this installment. 😀
@millerfilm.bsky.socialOnly in Hollywood can you blow up the Earth real good in the previous movie and still get another sequel out the series.
