Whether it's K'Saan Farrar or Darius Curry at QB, Jim Mora remains confident in the offense. The defense, on the other hand, that needs to improve quickly.

Not much of a surprise here, but #CSURams QB Hauss Hejny is doubtful tomorrow at UTSA, per ESPN. Always felt like it a return this week would be too quick. I expect it to be K'Saan Farrar starting, but would not be shocked to see Darius Curry at some point given how he played last week.

Sounds like #CSURams QB Hauss Hejny will be a true game-time decision this week at UTSA. Jim Mora said he expects Hauss to push to play and that treatment has gone well so far, but they likely won’t have a definitive answer until Saturday morning.

Much like the copious amount of Old Aggie consumed outside Canvas Stadium, inside the #CSURams were handed can after can of ice-cold reality check.

They may want to be BYU, but Jim Mora's Rams are still far from arguably the Big 12's best team.

Jim Mora says #CSURams QB Hauss Hejny "tweaked" his hamstring but that it was not a measure of precaution to keep him out. If he was cleared to come back in, he would have. Doesn't sound like Mora is overly concerned this is a long-term injury.

Final: No. 11 BYU 41, Colorado State 23

#CSURams did fight, as Jim Mora promised, but his squad just nowhere near good enough to compete against one of the best teams in the Big 12 and a legit CFP contender. The injury to QB Hauss Hejny made a bad night worse.

#CSURams finally get a 2nd TD of the night, this one against the second string BYU defense but with 3rd string QB Darius Curry in the game due to an injury suffered by K'Saan Farrar. Rams down 38-15 with a little over 12 minutes left.

Halftime: No. 11 BYU 31, Colorado State 7

It's been all downhill for the #CSURams since an opening-series TD that briefly tied things up at 7. Hauss Hejny's injury certainly doesn't help, but this BYU team is really, really good and just punishing the CSU defense.

A jet sweep to Legend Glasker caps a 5th scoring drive (out of 6 possessions) in the first half. #CSURams defense just nowhere near where it needs to be and all of the wind taken out of the offense's sails with Hauss Hejny on the sidelines. It's 31-7 BYU with 1:18 until halftime.

BYU drills a 44-yard FG to take a 24-7 lead with 6:11 left in the first half. #CSURams desperately need a scoring drive here (points of any kind would do) to regain some momentum going into halftime. CSU gets the ball to start the second half.

An already-difficult task has become much harder for the #CSURams with QB Hauss Hejny out of the game.

Make it a hat trick of first-quarter scores from LJ Martin who bullies his way in from 8 yards out. #CSURams down 21-7 with under a minute left in the opening quarter. The CSU offense is going to have to score on nearly every drive to stick in this one.

Exhale, #CSURams fans. Hauss Hejny came out of the medical tent is coming back onto the field without missing a series. Good response by the CSU defense to force a quick three-and-out. Rams ball at their own 32.

Uh oh. #CSURams come up empty on second offensive possession as Hauss Hejny can't find Jackson Harper on the out route that has worked well in the first 2 weeks. But worse, Hejny hobbled off the field, looked like he may have tweaked his right hamstring and went to the locker room.

This time it took 3 plays, not 2, but the Cougars go right down the field with ease again to score for the 2nd time tonight. #CSURams down 14-7 a little over 5 minutes in and have some serious work to do defensively.

Yeah, it's gonna be tough sledding for this #CSURams defense tonight. They load up in the box and Bear Bachmeier beats them over the top with a bomb downfield to Legend Glasker for 70 yards and inside the 5-yard line.

A seed from Hauss Hejny to RJ Vick in the back of the end zone on third-and-goal. #CSURams offense has come to play, again. We're all tied at 7 less than 4 minutes in. This could be a fun one.
