73' SUBSTITUTION SUMMIT

OFF: Flint
ON: Kössler

#CHIvDEN

70' Ayo Oke with a nice lofted pass to Natalie Means in the box. Stars head it out for a Denver corner.

Ayo has showcased some great passing today. #CHIvDEN

68' Abby Smith looking like she's catching fades from Bo Nix the way she calmly went up and grabbed the ball. Cool as you like. #CHIvDEN

61' SUBSTITUTION SUMMIT

OFF: Yamamoto
ON: Means

#CHIvDEN

61' Alozie gets a shot that curls wide of the right post. Abby was there.

Summit need to get the ball out of their own half. Chicago have set up camp. #CHIvDEN

59' SUBSTITUTION STARS

OFF: Swanson
ON: Charley

Mal must've known she was coming off at 60', because she we really coning for it these last 15'. #CHIvDEN

58' Now Grosso trying to get in on the action. She was the lone goal scorer for Chicago in the 7 goal affair last time.

Stars are shooting. #CHIvDEN

57' Mal Swanson with a driving shot to the lower left. Abby Smith gets down for it, but what an effort from Swanson. Bike was the Star who chested the ball down and put it on a tee for Swanson. #CHIvDEN

54' Yaz Ryan looks for a Sonis-like "shross" put holds down the B Button and sends it into Lake Michigan. #CHIvDEN

53' Mal Swanson chance into the side net. Again a good battle with Eva Gaetino, who forced Mal to the line.

Keep an eye on Mal though--she's looking due. #CHIvDEN

51' Ayo Oke with an incisive througball to spring Yaz Ryan behind the Stars' backline. Yaz cuts it to Tash who sends it wide left of the goal.

Tash looked to be caught between shooting and laying it off for Lindsey. Split the difference, unfortunately. #CHIvDEN

50' Tash Flint is putting in a shift pressing today. Love to see it. #CHIVDEN

HT SUBSTITUTION STARS

OFF: Egizii
ON: Bike

HALFTIME: CHI 0 | 2 DEN

This might be the platonic ideal of soccer for Nick Cushing.

Summit well in control of the ball, the shape of play & the scoreboard.

Denver could sharpen their duels.

Cover Mal on counters in 2nd and get Abby Smith a clean sheet for her birthday. #CHIvDEN

45+3' Lindsey Heaps pulls up to shoot from DEEP. Atkinson tips it away for a corner. #CHIvDEN

45+2' Ayo and Yuzu nearly complete the cross to backrest header. #CHIvDEN

45+1' The ref simply shaking her head with palpable disapproval for Mal Swanson's dive in the box after going shoulder to shoulder with Eva Gaetino.

She probably got the tip from Sophia Wilson. #CHIvDEN

41' Mal Swanson is really putting in an audition, er.... effort to score a goal against the Summit before going them. 🤞 #CHIvDEN

Here’s the clip of the Sonis to Heaps combo. #CHIvDEN

31' KK and Mal get tangled up jockeying for the ball in the right corner. Both look shaken up. KK appears to favoring her left hand/stomach after meeting them with Mal's studs. #CHIvDEN
