I am a father of a Childhood Cancer Survivor. I have 33 years in recovery. I am the co-founder and now Director Emeritus of SIouxperCon. September is a big month for me.

For day 13 of #childhoodcancerawareness month I’ll just share this tough memory. 6 years ago today our lives changed. We almost lost her but she is a tough cookie.This was a “bright” moment after a very scary couple of days. She was up & taking a few steps a couple of days after major brain surgery.

Miami-Dade County is rallying for change this September, recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Hunger Action Month while celebrating the heroes behind the Civics Academy!
