The warehouse chapter is steadily taking shape both visually and mechanically. Since the demo release the rest of the game is making some good progress hops!

Gyms are incredibly important for level designers. Building just pieces of the level and playing them helps you really feel if the space has good metrics, pacing, and challenging amount of enemies.
Never forgetting the @rystorm.com's "Gyms, Zoos, and Museums"
Translifeline TDOR:
Blockout was fun and it was cool to basically make these sections off @softlysteph.bsky.social 's area sketch and how I can make winding forest walking paths to each location and keep people exploring. Also its based in my home beach in Oregon <3
A fun part of development on Highguard was building bases. They were relatively quick to stand up and could support a lot of personality in the theme and gameplay. Here's an early one I made as we were figuring out the gameplay needs and metrics. Not our concept art. This didn't ship. #blocktober
It's the spooky month, so time for some new levels. Enjoy this quick recording for #blocktober
Here's a short timelapse for #Blocktober making a really fast level for Oakley the Leafbug!
Don't mind the exploding penguins. 🐧

We are going to be showing off some of the best student blockouts from our Games Design courses here at Ulster University for #blocktober

Let's get this blockout month started!
I want to show the onboarding section from the 3D point-and-click game "It's Not You It's Us" that I worked on in spring this year.
I wanted to teach the player here that they can push cars, so I put some in the disabled spot.
Making a little HL2 map for #blocktober
#blocktober kinda snuck up on me this year, so todays project is an upcoming encounter scenario for my dnd campaign in @talespire.com! By far the best vtt for capturing the diorama feel that is a core part of ttrpgs imo.
It's October, so I am once again lamenting that Mastodon's #GameDev community doesn't do #Blocktober. It's one of the things I most miss from that other website.
Looks like they do it over on bsky though:
I clearly am not following enough level designers... Where are the early #blocktober posts???
Work in progress on Level Design and Level art for my sci-fi utopian video game !
Oh it's #blocktober next month and I'm looking forward to looking at and sharing the work.
Entrance into one of the Indiana Jones levels I worked on.
This level went through so many iterations, but I really proud of it. Key was the amount of playtests. Coming up with puzzle ideas was the fun part, and the most challenging part for me.
Amazing env art from Vytautas Katarzis.
