Wryneck trapped and ringed at the Observatory this morning!
It is the 41st Calf record (first since 2019) and the 22nd to be ringed on the island. A surprise on a quiet morning - amazing to see up close!

How do we know where #AquaticWarbler migrate? 🤔
Thanks to bird ringing, we know migration routes, stopover sites and where they spend the winter. Every observation #MigrationWatch helps to better protect Europe's rarest migratory songbird. #LIFE4AquaticWarbler #LIFEproject #BirdRinging
