Cast iron route restriction plate. Restriction 0 indicated that it was a narrow-bodied carriage with no restrictions on its use and suitable for Tonbridge to Hastings line as well as others built to non-standard dimensions. #Bexhill

The plate is dark corroded metal with “restriction 0” embossed on it in letters proud from the metal.

The little light brown teddy bear is wearing a white t-shirt. On the shirt it has 3 emblems of the museum and it says “Bexhill Museum. Encouraging Discovery. Centenary 100 years 1914-2014 anniversary.”

Embellished tiger standing on elephant, carved in sandstone. 11th-12th century. From the Far East, possibly Vietnam. (Not currently on display.)

The carving is laying down in a display case. It is grey in colour. The tiger is much larger than the elephant and is standing on its hind legs in a human like pose.

Sussex Marble. A limestone composed of the fossil shells of a freshwater snail Viviparus (Paludina). From the Weald clay formation. #Bexhill

The marble is a large flat, smooth shiny surface and within it are the coil shapes of snails. There are white, brown and black colours in the marble.
