Melanie & Aljaž - Waltz - The Sound Of Music - meh. It's not that Mel is bad but that she's holding herself back from doing well. 15

Cach & Maddie - Samba - Grease - Definitely an improvement over last week. Cach kept his hips going throughout. Bravo. 29

#BBCStrictly 8/11

Will & Diane - Foxtrot - Risky Business - I think wearing boxer shorts compelled him to stick his butt out while in contact. 19

Jamie & Carlos - Cha-Cha-Cha - Pretty Woman - Needs work. Entertaining though. 21

#BBCStrictly 7/11

* Lawrence & Jowita - Viennese Waltz - Rataouille - How effortless. I thought it was very good. 19

Graham & Lauren - Waltz - The Dogfather er I mean... - Moody. Just great. Isn't Graham the sleeper of the series. 31 www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS4W...

#BBCStrictly 6/11

Sarah & Julian - Charleston - Mary Poppins - Don't reenact past routines! You'll never touch this perfect score from Alexandra & Gorka (btw after much criticism they still got 24): www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4Uf...

#BBCStrictly 5/11

Lawrence & Jowita - Vienese Waltz - Rataouille - How effortless. I thought it was very good. Anton gave advice on dancing w/radically different heights. 19

Delta & Kai - American Smooth - A Star Is Born (Gaga version) - The picture of grace. 30

#BBCStrictly 4/11

Chris & Amy - Cha-Cha-Cha - Baywatch - Thought at first he had a handle on it but then hit transitions with full stop inistead of "flowing through the transitions." Overall not bad. Craig accused Chris of applying too much salsa to his motion. Shirley said focus on flow. 17

#BBCStrictly 3/11

Dani & Nikita - Foxtrot - Beauty & The Beast - Very nice. Wasn't this song better suited for a waltz though? 23

John & Katya - Couples Choice - Titanic - Reenacted lower decks dance. A bit stiff & heavy (Craig agreed). Awkward dismount. 23

#BBCStrictly 2/11

#BBCStrictly Week 2 - Movie Week - Opening number by the pros in tribute to Zootopia. An arm-flinging episode as Judges channeled Bruno by excessively demonstrating armography throughout. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA0Z...

#BBCStrictly in the news.
First, I didn't know the mezzanine was coined Auditorium. I nicknamed it Peanut Gallery years ago.
Second, Johannes was perfectly audible & in his element up there. Give yourself time & don't pick on Josh when Motsi kids with him.

There we have the first week of #BBCStrictly. Not a single let-the-pro-dance-around-me among them. Two need to reign in their energies & focus on the brochure. So many potential winners.
Next is Movie Week & combined standings for the first Dance Off.
Strictly It Takes Two begins tomorrow.

Delta & Kai - Samba - Holey moley! Remember how Kelvin surprised everybody on week one with his Samba? Here we have another memorable first week Samba. 29 www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz36...

John & Katya - Foxtrot - Another unexpected gem. She managed to bring the dancer out of him from the outset. I don't think he believed it when Shirley told him he was elegant & sophisticated. Yes, a 31 www.youtube.com/watch?v=cann...

Dani & Nikita - Samba - Reunited following her injury during the 2025 launch group dance. Cut to Daddy Dyer in the audience. IMHO too much stopping to strike a pose or change direction. 22

11/14 #BBCStrictly

Jamie & Carlos - Tango - Another very good performance, but how much of it was actually a Tango? 21

Graham & Lauren - Cha-Cha-Cha - The Dog Whisperer delivered! Well, Waddayaknow! 24 www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqcl...
10/14 #BBCStrictly

Cach & Maddie - Quickstep - Very nice for *A* dance, but did it tick the Quickstep boxes? Craig said it was too freestyle, so I nailed it. The other judges were of course more diplomatic & frankly too generous w/their votes. 20

9/14 #BBCStrictly

Chris & Amy - Tango - Needs a lighter step & to work on his form, but a decent performance. 16

Melanie & Aljaž - Cha-Cha-Cha - It wasn't the worst performance of the night. Too much stopping cold & again posture. Kept time well. 15
