Who's up for #ATScience 2027 edition?

@lou.ggSep 9, 2026, 4:26 PM

So. I need to choose a uni project. The pre-made ones are horrible or I don't like the topic. What are the chances I can make a paper about something on ATproto? Any ideas?

Community notes over papers is another example of a new kind of annotation that goes far beyond merely a "mention" and can be easily incorporated into protocol powered research ecosystems like #ATScience

"The key idea is that open science training provides tools for critiquing published research, for deciding what to trust, and for challenging institutional power."

This is relevant to our work at #ATScience

Simulating a full #ATScience IOSP workshop session on the Toons cartoon wall. 4 boards, 30 participants, 12x speed. Dogs & blossoms for check-ins, handshakes for @youandme.at connections, a blur of thermometers for live sensor data, croissants & radios for noizetoyz notes. hacking.tilde.style

Hey @brookie.blog! 👋 Loved connecting with people via youandme.at at ATmosphereConf. We want to bring it to our IOSP #ATScience hacking station in Leiden so participants can connect the same way.

Hitting a wall with my choice of Cocoon PDS as a way to hand out (temporary) atproto handles for participants of the IOSP #ATScience hacking station.

youandme.at's login sends the OAuth PAR request as application/json, but
  the spec (RFC 9126) requires application/x-www-form-urlencoded — cocoon
  correctly rejects the unparseable body, but the error never surfaces, so
  login just hangs on "Connecting…" forever.

Lab setup for #ATScience IOSP workshop plays atmosphere synths sounds. FMOp, Wavefolding, Filtering, Delay & Reverb via Mozzi audio library. Every interaction at the on-screen keyboard publishes a music.atproto.noizetoyz.synth.note record and re-broadcasts to a listener on the Wemos/ESP8266 boards.

Waiting for it for our #ATScience hacking station for IOSP in October, Leiden.
