#AssistedDyingBill back before Parliament. Why are MPs in such a hurry and again choosing to ignore the views of the Royal Colleges, disability groups and medical specialists, including those in #palliative care? www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...
.
Yes the level of support for Assisted Dying remains very high.
If the #assisteddyingbill passes today as it is, the Parliament Act will immediately kick in and the Lords will not be allowed to block it, so expect the Commons vote to be very close #r4today
It is the job of the House of Lords to scrutinise badly written bills.
And the people who wrote the bill have done nothing to answer or reassure them
Why are their valid criticisms and questions being belittled on most news sites?

Exactly.
For me, caring for people with MND or other severe neurological conditions, where they have control of all their mental faculties, but their body no longer functions, and they have absolutely no quality of life, is another very good argument for it.
Wishing you well.

I am so sorry for your loss.
As a former specialist nurse in palliative care, I am sad to read this. Palliative care teams generally manage to control symptoms of advanced cancer well, but not always, as your thread clearly illustrates.
I feel that this bill should become law. #AssistedDyingBill
MPs will be debating and voting on the #AssistedDyingBill this Friday.
If they vote no, it could be all over for the campaign.
Join us at Parliament Square, 9:00, 11 September, to stand for choice, dignity and compassion for terminally ill people.
