@jet0.bsky.socialThe second season has pretty much been more of what made the first season good. Nothing too special except for the last three episodes. The art started out more polished than s1 and stayed that way for a bit but over time the cracks in the production showed.
@jet0.bsky.socialTsuchiba becoming relevant again in episode 10 made me so happy... Honestly, the last three episodes being dedicated to her is more than I could've hoped for after how she disappeared after the fourth episode.
@jet0.bsky.socialAnd the focus didn't even shift to those two because Yamimori and Sakae were introduced. Not a bad thing per se though—Akasaka and Makino were great during that arc, but I could've done without three episodes about Yamimori lol.
@jet0.bsky.socialThey even teased the events of this episode in the OP. And then Tsuchiba worked with Magilumiere in the third and fourth episodes. Would've been perfect if they continued from there but then Akasaka and Makino joined Magilumiere and the focus shifted.
@jet0.bsky.socialI get that this is the start of Tsuchiba being befriended by Kana and probably even joining Magilumiere, but you can't expect me to not wish this season had a Kana and Tsuchiba plot going on in the background and or foreground every now and then after this ep.
@jet0.bsky.socialShe's bursting with empathy and here comes this woman whose demeanor screams "I'm lonely and I'm struggling please love and help me". Now if only the series leaned into this angle hard to justify ending the season the way it did...
@jet0.bsky.socialGood episode! Despite *very* little focus on Tsuchiba and the budding relationship between her and Kana they made this work. Kana trying to reach Tsuchiba and Tsuchiba allowing her to get through to her works because of the kind of person Kana is.
