Did you feel shaking in the #PugetSound region of #WA state at 2:05 p.m. PT today? That was a M4.2 #earthquake located ~40 km SW of Seattle.
1000's of people felt shaking, some as far away as Victoria and Vancouver in the north, and Portland in the south

The South Sound's tide squeezes through the mile-wide Tacoma Narrows, and at its strongest this week the surface water there ran at nearly 5 knots. Puget Sound, 21 to 28 September 2026.
