It's such a joy this season to record podcasts about Newport County and be positive and optimistic again. This was a lot of fun.

😍 Ep295: A pleasure 😍

We praise the team's resilience and the atmosphere against #ColU on Saturday - and another fine win for the tough-as-nails, unbeaten-at-home, top-half-of-the-league Newport County AFC!

To listen / watch, search for "1912 Exiles" wherever you get your podcasts. 😀

Bore da, how are you this fine Monday morning?

Whatever the answer, a new podcast episode awaits you to ease you into the week ahead. No, YOU'RE welcome. Find it wherever you normally watch / listen, with our compliments.

We'll have a new episode out in the morning to discuss the gutsy, battling win against #ColU.

In the meantime, who's willing to pledge that they'll get "Gwengwe Highlights" if County can maintain their top-half position at the end of the season?!?

A good read as always from @markvickery4.bsky.social.

Clarification: it was Matty Jacob who provided the gutsy, determined assist. Blame ageing eyes and being at the very back of the Hazells Stand... And also hat-tip to MJ who was another excellent performer today.

Drink it in.

1) Under Dave Hughes, we’d have lost a game like that comfortably.

2) Mullins has turned us into an efficient and hardy team of energetic bastards and nippy little shits. And it’s great.

3) One (minor) criticism: our set pieces need work.

GOOOOOAAAALLLL! ⚽️

A cool and classy finish, but for me that was all about Brennan’s gutsy, determined assist. Rich reward for a proper warrior, his redemption arc is great to watch.

Pretty simple: Doidge going off necessitated a change to the game plan, but we can make this work for us. Get the balls in behind to Shaq, Bamba and Adu-Poku, and then have some composure in the box and this game is here to win. 💪🏻

In some ways a surprise (given how highly he was rated by Merthyr fans), but in other ways not (given that he's struggled to break into the first team). Either way, game time to rekindle his form is what's needed, so let's hope it works out.

Good piece on the BBC Wales Sport website by Luke Hemmings about the rise of Harrison Biggins and the impact he's had on this Newport County team. He really is the heartbeat of the side, and we'd love to get a song going for him so here's a suggestion...
