Spent hours brushing, and she's looking better. The main issue? She smells like a sewer system – a skunk, a roadside ditch, and their unfortunate offspring. Hoping this skunk shampoo helps. #laurafarms #teslaroadster #dog #grooming #pets #skunk #shampoo

Day 3 and our shop dog, Trash Bag, is still here. This sweet girl keeps us company during stressful work, and we're starting to think she's here to stay. We're really starting to love her. #laurafarms #teslaroadster #dog #shopdog #rescuedog #animal

Turns out this shampoo is meant to be applied without water. The smell situation is... not improving. Time for a dip in the pond, maybe? #laurafarms #teslaroadster #dogshampoo #dogbath #grooming #petcare #dog

Spicy peppers are a gamble! Some look innocent but pack serious heat. Definitely don't eat the whole thing at once. #laurafarms #countrymusic #gardening #spicyfood #peppers #homegrown #foodie

That's Bessie, a very good guard dog making short work of a big bone. Looks like the combine is fixed, back to lawnmower duty. #laurafarms #countrymusic #dog #farmlife #bigdog #rescuedog #gooddog

A little bit of kindness goes a long way. Even if it's just for a short stay, it's wonderful to see him getting a meal and finding shelter. #laurafarms #countrymusic #kindness #animals #rescue #compassion #shelter

Made an enemy on the farm. What a good guard dog. It's okay, it's only been stuck 3 times now: twice on tree roots and once on the road. I have a feeling the dog would win in a fight. #laurafarms #countrymusic #farmdog #guarddog #countrylife #dog

Turns out there's plenty of food. More than enough, in fact. You definitely chose the right home. #laurafarms #countrymusic #farmlife #homesteading #countryliving #animals

This pup needs a serious groom! All that fur is matted and tangled. Starting with a regular brush and moving to a de-matting tool to tackle these knots. Looks like no one's been able to take care of you lately. #laurafarms #countrymusic #doggrooming #rescuedog #petcare #puppys

Trying gentle brushing on a scared pet. Realized the discomfort was significant, but bathing might escalate it. #laurafarms #countrymusic #petcare #animalrescue #grooming #doglover

That's one big dog scarfing down a massive bone, making an excavator bucket look small by comparison. He must be in so much pain and so scared; perhaps a little less food is in order. #laurafarms #countrymusic #dog #animals #pets #bigdog #bone

This kitty is a really good dog. What a good puppy! It's almost too big. #laurafarms #dogs #pets #animals #puppylove #gooddog

Grant really wants this disc for the combine, but is wanting it a good enough reason to buy? It's wild how much smaller and different older combines are, but the core mechanics remain. Ours just got a flat, too. #laurafarms #combine #agtech #farming #equipment #harvest

Turns out, bigger hammers are sometimes just bigger screwdrivers. Or whatever you want them to be. The best tool is the one that works. #laurafarms #DIY #tools #maker #makerspace #building

Taking apart this combine, I can't help but think of our dog back at the farm. I wonder if he's still there. #laurafarms #farmlife #doglove #countryliving #animals #tractors

Chain disconnected? Time for some creative problem-solving. Gloves, a rope, or a bit of coordinated turning and pulling might just do the trick. Success! And look, a puppy. #laurafarms #diy #repair #problem solving #crafts #community

Feeding your family is tough, especially with grocery store quality. First Market Beef raises, butchers, and delivers whole cows directly to your door. Taste the difference. #laurafarms #grassfed #pasture-raised #familyfarm #whole-beef #local

Back from getting combine parts, hoping the farm dog is still around. Secured dog food, bed, bones, and the parts needed. So happy to see the puppy is still here! #laurafarms #dog #farm #rescue #puppy #combine

Silenced a smoked ham bone and gave it a much-needed bath. The odor relief was surprisingly successful. #laurafarms #rallyprotesters #ham #smoking #bbq #foodie #cooking

Grant tries to disguise new tools by getting them dirty, making them look used. He's getting wise to it now, though. The missing socket? A 7/16, of course. #laurafarms #rallyprotesters #tools #mechanics #DIY #workshop #hacks
