#DepthOfField is that rare kind of highschool #jBL where there is no entertainment park/aquarium date, no top secretly having a crush, no isolated character finally finding friends, no typically character types.

Instead a musician and a photographer accidentally meet and fall in love over time.

Our atmospheric photograph captures an old cemetery, dominated by the immense, weathered trunk of a mature tree. The image is presented in a rich sepia tone, giving it a timeless, nostalgic, almost haunting quality. In the centre of the photograph stands the tree, its thick, deeply ridged bark revealing years of growth and exposure to the elements. The trunk rises from the lower foreground and divides into several substantial branches, which spread outwards and upwards. A network of twisting, slender branches creates a dense canopy of shadows, obscuring much of the sky above. To the left of the tree, rows of weathered gravestones extend into the background. Some are tall and ornate, featuring decorative stonework and pointed tops, while others are smaller and more subdued. The pale stone contrasts with the dark tree trunk and surrounding shadows. On the right, a narrow, gently curving pathway leads deeper into the cemetery, disappearing among additional gravestones and trees. The path is bordered by grass, low vegetation, and patches of shadow. Soft, diffused light filters through the branches, illuminating parts of the tree's textured bark and the distant headstones. The lower portion of the image is particularly dark, with the tree's roots and surrounding vegetation fading into deep shadow. This contrast between light and darkness creates a sense of solitude, reflection, and the passage of time. Overall, the photograph portrays the cemetery as a quiet place where nature and memory coexist, with the ancient tree standing as a powerful symbol of endurance, remembrance, and the enduring passage of generations. Finally, our picture today is finished with a simple white border frame.

A photograph of only portions of the rims of two deep red wine glasses against a black and white background. The focus is narrow on the rim of the closest glass. The simplistic image creates a diagonal line from the back glass (offset left) to the front glass (more centered) to a black shape in the lower right. Countering that are two diagonal lines in the background tilting in the opposite direction.

Morning #BlueSky ☕️ Walk with me now along the golden coastline of gorgeous Ireland. Have a fabulous day friends 😌 #ECK #RockinTuesday

#PhotographyOfBlueSky #Ireland #DepthOfField #CoastalPhotography #PhotographersOfBlueSky #Ocean #Waves

Our tranquil coastal scene stretches beneath a vast, cloudless blue sky. The photograph is composed vertically, with the horizon positioned low in the frame, giving the sky a strong sense of openness and scale. In the foreground, shallow seawater gently washes over a sandy beach. Small, foamy waves curl diagonally from the lower right toward the centre of the image. The wet sand has a warm golden-brown and slightly pinkish hue, with delicate patterns left behind by the retreating water. Along the left side, the beach extends into the distance, scattered with numerous small, dark pebbles and stones. The shoreline curves gently toward a distant point, where a small white structure can just be seen. The sea occupies the right-hand side, its surface calm and subtly textured, shifting from pale, translucent water near the shore to deeper blue toward the horizon. The distant horizon is softened by a faint haze, creating an impression of immense space and serenity. The image conveys quietness, solitude and the timeless rhythm of the sea, with the expansive blue sky contrasting beautifully against the warm tones of the beach. Finally, today’s picture is finished with a simple white border frame.

A monarch butterfly is nectaring on small purple and yellow asters. Its wings are laid flat, so the narrow depth of field focuses in only on its body and antennae, and on the flowers. The wings soften focus at the tips near and far. The background is mottled, soft-focus light green.
