DAY 13 Update - 16 #Kickstarter backers, still. I'd love to hit 25 and feel less uneasy about paying this #RedDemon #audiobook and print run off. Only 200 of these glow in the dark hardcover #books will be created.

...I’d expect Maisie 8 to be out before the end of the year.
- Oh yes, and I might have some news for you next Friday - stay tuned!
Have a great weekend! #booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 7/7

It seems to be hanging together well so far, though there may be some trimming to do in the first quarter - but that’s doable. Provided I don’t find anything more problematic in the second half (fingers crossed)...
#booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 6/?

...and hopefully that will be licked into shape soon and we can put up a preorder!
- I’ve been reading through the draft of Maisie Frobisher book 8 and I’ve just reached halfway. #booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 5/?

...(Lulmouth Bay book 3), because it is ALMOST there, but not quite, so I won’t. I know, what a tease. Maybe next week! @paulasharmon.bsky.social is currently doing her worst with the latest version of the MS... #booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 4/?

- I’ve also been social in a writerly way, with a Stockton Heath writing group meeting and a separate meet-up and chat.
- I would love to show you the cover for A Tale of Books and Potions... #booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 3/?

Good job we’d decided to take the day off! I hadn’t bargained for how stressful the process would be - writing & publishing books is much easier! But we had a family Zoom the other day so we can bug them from far away!

Time for a quick Friday update - I want to start the weekend!
- Having delivered the youngest offspring to uni (it was a killer journey both ways, thank you for asking), we were both absolutely knackered on Monday. #booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 1/?

I'm speaking at the MWA conference!

#bookevents in Maryland, US. Anyone who donates at least $15 to my #kickstarter and meets me at #localevents can claim resolved childhood trauma or a bookish girlfriend.... scented candles.

Kickstarter Update Day 6: 4 sales over the weekend!

I'm so grateful to everyone buying direct instead of waiting for Audible , as those sales go 4x faster towards supporting my ability to hire pros like @highgravityaudiobooks

#Newsletter day is here again, and I'm still awake. I shouldn't be, but too many late nights of ow this week have changed my sleep schedule for the worse.

- Next week, I’ll start the readthrough of ... drumroll ... Maisie Frobisher book 8!
Have a great weekend!
#authorupdate #booksky 6/6

- I also finished the seascape painting I began last week, and very much enjoyed using the rough watercolour paper, so I’ll be working on some more of that. I tracked down where I’d taken the original photo and yup, it was Crosby Beach yet again!
#authorupdate #booksky #watercolour #crosbybeach 5/?

- And today I’ve drafted the blurb!
- I sent out both my author newsletter and my art newsletter - a very newslettery week, all in all.
#authorupdate #fantasyromcom #booksky 4/?

I’m pleased to report that I didn’t find any plot holes and, bar a few questions around the last chapter or two, most changes should be my usual finicking about.
- And because of that, I’ve put in an order for the book cover!
#authorupdate #fantasyromcom #booksky 3/?

I’ve procured boxes, provided packing advice, framed a painting of our cat Luna - and I don’t think I've ever answered so many questions!
- I’ve finished the readthrough of A Tale of Books and Potions (Lulmouth Bay 3) and sent it back to my co-conspirator.
#authorupdate #fantasyromcom #booksky 2/?

I’m getting in with the Friday update a bit earlier this week! I came down with a cold yesterday, so I’m doing this before my energy completely disappears...
- A chunk of time this week has been devoted to getting the youngest sorted for university. #authorupdate #fantasyromcom #booksky 1/?
