For starters, it's the Stormtroopers, they're obsessed with Lum.

Second, most of the time, Mendou's attraction to anyone outside of Lum and Shinobu is for a gag...that usually doesn't come out of nowhere... #UruseiYatsura

Y'know despite the animation being a bit cheaper this season the team is still flexing like in this whole hallway sequence.
(Also pretty sure Digi is feeling this episode has an Oshii-esque vibe so far)

...oooooookkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy...I guess the staff is going by the idea of some parts of the third movie having a connection as the stormtroopers AND Mendou show up with blades, implying THEY cut Sakura's red string multiple times too...

...why? #UruseiYatsura

Ok...we all know most of the UY movies are not in continuity, right? Well...that's mainly because at least two of 'em have a reset button. If it wasn't for starting over, they would fit.

Remember the climax of the third one? #UruseiYatsura

Sakura and her fiance are thinking about each other and why they keep missing each other...and for some odd reason, she's telling Ataru and Lum this...and Ataru shows he's cutting a red string between doll versions of the two... #UruseiYatsura

When I say that Sakura and Tsubame are Kyoko and Godai coded...that is NOT allegory it's straight up the same characters utilized in a different story.

After agreeing to try again, Sakura is about to call it a pissed off night...when she sees a figure that looks a lot like the guy suddenly vanish... #UruseiYatsura

The guy finally shows...five hours late. Naturally, Sakura bailed. #UruseiYatsura

Turns out Sakura's fiancée is running later than I am today as he's in the middle of an exorcism...and pissed at the demon for making him late.

The demon bails on the grounds that he's not that stupid. #UruseiYatsura

Up next, lovers reunited...maybe... "Sakura's Pure Love! Slippery Soap Spells Sayonara!" #UruseiYatsura

Always,
You are watching me, I am watching you.
How'd you like to have a pounding heart?
Gentlemen, I'm Sorry.
It's too bad you're overstimulated.

Here we are the final season of classic #UruseiYatsura but it's not the end of Ataru and Lum's adventures!

Running late, will be on in a few. #UruseiYatsura

Around an hour from now, reunited and it feels so...? #UruseiYatsura
